Upcoming font and GUI changes


A big to-do item for Madman's Making is to implement a fully custom GUI.  Nobody wants to look at the generic Ren'Py GUI elements and boring old font that everyone is used to.

After getting some helpful feedback on my Steam store page, I'll be focusing my efforts on creating custom GUI elements for dialogue, menus, and especially the Budget/Pop/Favor counters at the top.  The story itself is still well underway and about 2/3 close to being finished - but I think I'm getting to a good point with this project where I should start focusing more on making the game more presentable, more attractive to the casual passerby on Steam.

I'll be posting periodic updates as I implement custom GUI features and ask for feedback, but in the meantime here's a custom font I downloaded and added after messing around with it for a while.  I'm not 100% happy with it, but it's a step in the right direction for making the game a bit more pleasant to look at.
